Does your website need updating?

Are you a Keystone client wondering if it is time to update or redesign your website? Here are four questions to ask:

1. Are you on Kentico version 5.5?

If so, your website is several years old. We are now developing on Kentico 8, which offers several major improvements. You have some options, and we are happy to discuss them.

How to check: Login to your website by adding /cmsdesk to your url (i.e. www.yourwebsite.com/cmsdesk). If your screen looks like the image above, it's time for an update.

2. Does your website have responsive design? Does it look good on a mobile device?

If so, great. If not, it's time. Most sites have 25-50% of their traffic coming from mobile phones or tablets these days, and this number will only grow. Make sure you are giving your website users a good experience.

How to check: Open your website on a mobile phone. Is the text readable? Are the buttons a good size? What do you think of the experience?

3. Are you showing up in local search engine results?

If you are a business serving a local community, showing up high in local search should be a goal. While we can't promise placement on search engines, there are certain things we can do to help make sure Google sees your website and identifies your location.

How to check: Search google for your business type along with your primary city or neighborhood (i.e. dentist in Hendersonville). Do you see a link to your site?

4. Are you happy with the design?

Keep in mind that your website is often the first impression of your business. Does your website still represent your brand? Is it easy to use?

How to check: Read our list of outdated web features. Are you guilty of any of these? Plus, ask a few customers what they think of your website.
